Monty Python/Mr. Bean Gene Lives on in the Brits

#1
And who says the Brits don't have an answer for everything?

Some of those caught speeding on the Motorways offered the following ' reasonable explanations '

1] Fainted after seeing a UFO and was only brought out of the trance by the flash of the speed camera

2] A passing jet, heading for Newcastle airport, actually triggered the speed camera..

3] A strong tail wind pushed the car over the limit

4] It was a mercy dash for a dying hamster

5] rapid acceleration was the only way to demonstrate faulty clutch to the mechanic

I'm fond of number 1.. may use it myself..does make you wonder, though.. some people must stop to think and then can't get started again...

Strange thing is your average copper wouldn't see that as an excuse, it is far too likely.
