MODS - How about a Gallery page for Training video clips

Discussion in 'The Training Wing' started by Empire, Aug 25, 2005.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. How about a page/Board/Forum in the training wing or Gallery where those users who prepare presentations/lessons/lectures can upload and download suitable video files for others to use - not just links but useable files? Is this asking for too much. If it can be done I'm sure there are lots of clips on HD's that could of use for some one.

  2. Could prove useful to all instructors. However there may be copy right issues, as well as security issues if they are taken from oficial MOD films.

    23C Clanker

but if there was a location where we could upload small vids which we could take and use in power point...well that would be an asset...maybe ;)

Jennie fair enough, but in most of the MOD films the squaddies still have the 60's porn star moustache or some annoying 2 bit failed actor doing a dodgy voice over.

  5. It might be feasible to place somethign onto Armynet?

Just a thought, I will go and suggest it there now..

  6. As long as someone posts the "Rules of War" training film, I'll be a happy bloke. It's been too long since I saw that bloke filing crosses in the heads of the 9mm rounds for his SMG !

  7. Hi, I'm actor Troy McClure, you may remember me from such army training videos such as "Hey Bobby, I'm burning" and "Don't touch that unattended bag".......

Joking aside, I agree there should be resources available (perhaps on a more secure means such as on ArmyNet, and not available to Jo Bloggs) that mils personnel could access.

  8. I did post this on Armynet with soem interest form the team..

but as usual they have more avenuse to explore than have staff...

but at least if youhave suggestions for film, TV clips that can be used for training, then please add them to my other thread on the training wing.
