Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Maybe I should try my luck with the next paper cut I get!

Any job openings at the puzzle palace?
  3. one can only imagine this type of Memo doing the internal rounds at the MoD?

    Compensation Changes (again)

The newer rules are simple. Basically its called the Rule of Thumb. This system is easy, as you can equate it to having a (RAF secretary) typists thumb which would equate to £484,000 in compensation.

The rule of thumb further states that the scale will slide downwards (tell us something we did not know)

So in essence if you have most of your bits missing-its a flat £57,000 and you can go elsewhere for the rest. Thank god for the RBL.

Seriously though has someone gone barking at the MoD? If anyone has been injured in the past its stressful enough dealing with the SP&VA god help those that are coming out of Iraq and afghanistan having been injured. The whole system is a discredited screw up!!
  4. You really couldn't make this stuff up!
