  1. Hi,

I took my ML(T) about a year ago today. Although I am still far off the standard needed, I would be grateful if anyone could shed some light on the standards needed for the assessment. I have enough days, but I am not happy with
    a) my nav standard,
    b) my rope skills

How intensive is the test? What First Aid qual. do you need?

Also, does having the ML make you a JESMEL, or do you need winter walking stuff, and rock climbing experience for that?

Finally, my OTC says that you need the SMP before taking the ML(T). I'm pretty sure that isn't true - my sister managed to get on without it - are they being an*L for the sake of it?

    Many thanks

  2. is this a wah???? 8O

If not mate you seriously need to rethink turning up for the assesment.

  3. Contact the training office at JSMTC(I) and ask for the Training Officer Dave Reece. Dave will give you all the info on the course.

  4. Read the JSP (419?) which outlines exactly what standards you need to be at.
