  4. I may be wrong, but I’m sure I read something last year after they announced a large increase in the salary, that it was a plan to announce no increase in next years wages.

    Something along the lines of:

    “Look we’re going to give you 5% this year instead of 2.5%, so that next year we can say that we are giving you nothing and make us all look good!”.

  6. This is their ministerial pay, they will stil get a whopping pay rise as members of parliament!
