Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I found this fascinating.

  2. One of the most fascinating things I've seen in a long time, the constructor is a genius. It sounds as if the case hardening has worn a bit on one of the tappets though.
  3. Meh, this looks far more fun!

  4. Yeah. Pushrods looked a bit loose as well but that's just splitting hairs.
I remember we had a cutaway RR K60 engine driven by an electric motor at APC Wing at Bordon. Could have watched it all day.
  5. When I was a kid I took time out from building plastic kits of aircraft and put together a V8 engine from a plastic kit, it was the only model I ever built that I did not end up setting fire to, I can still smell the pong and see those little bits floating around as my models crashed and burned.
  6. Icarus Jr. strikes again! Instant 3D jigsaw puzzle.;-)
  7. I want one
  8. Me too..... Smarter than a big bag of smart things. =)
  9. What a thing of beauty. I wonder if he could make a RR Merlin?
  10. <COUGH!>
  11. Thank you sir!
  12. 1220 hours to make... Not married then.
  13. I supposed you all noticed it does not actually run but is driven by compressed air ?

Even so a phenomenal bit of engineering .
