Military Modelling

I do mine on her kitchen table. I’ve knackered a few table clothes along the way! She makes me use a new paper now.

I think they are a bit of a waste of money - I’ve just cut the top and front off a cardboard box and it’s been fine.

Some of the other lads modelling on here look a bit more pro to me, so they may have a different view
I'm no expert but even with my airbrush on low pressure, a shitload of kaka comes back out of the booth if I don't run the fan. I suspect the same thing will happen with your cardboard box. Tamiya and Vallejo "taste" different but I suspect neither is good for you.

Opening the windows will draw air into the room but won't remove the paint fume unless you've balanced the airflow.

the seat alone was a dozen tiny parts, constructed awaiting colour.
Well, I thought you'd of replaced with wiring on the spring while your at it heeheee heehee

Sometimes, I think some makers use more parts than are strictly needed when producing kits

Getting close to finishing my next chopper, Hasegawa 1/48th Sea King converted to an HC.4 using the Flightpath conversion and Berna decal sheet with a few bits from the spares box for luck.

Yes, I know I've repeated the post, but I have added some pictures.

Sorry, what??? You painted the instrument panel? All those iddy-biddy dials and stuff? Are you mad?
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds it might incriminate me :)

Finished, some of the Flightpath stuff is really oversized ,especially the Prophet 2 boxes on the nose and the bottle for the flotation gear, I couldn't get them to fit without touching the wheels so I left them off, really need a 48th Puma Scout and Gazelle now.

That's cracking work. Like the toom collection and Black Mike on your photo stream.

It will be my first effort with resin kits (apart from Verlinden accessories). When I get to it I'll post pics.

Building an Abrams that I picked up 18 years ago and compared to more modern Trumpeter stuff, it's a bit rough. Flash and poor figure detailing etc.
Tamiyas Kit figures were very poor. I remember their US tank Crew WWII, and they were so bad I binned them

Its more or less in one piece, just needs a final polish once its been washed

Edit, and yes, I did remember to bung some weight into the nose, small screws, lead wire, filler.....anything that could be wedged in forward of the front wheel mounting
