Interesting, and the ancient Siemens T100 teleprinter fitted in as well. In our Comcen we had 2 x T100 in one trailer, linked to a second trailer which held the switchboard, Bid crypto and more importantly, the kettle. We always knew when a brew was in the offing as the generators speed up!

One op seat issued, but often a spare 'found'..... Some were grey, a few were black vinyl covering.
Battery box in a Lightweight, similar to what we had. I don't remember the wiggly amps meters on the bulkhead though...

Dexion over bulkhead, note gun clips below.

Radio table with trays for sets. J-Boxes on dexion, battery box below table. The cover was useful as a card table when dismounted.... (So they tell me..)

There was one FFR in the Squadron fitted with ATU boxes on the wings. No ATU, but a smart operator made a whip aerial from a fibreglass fishing rod with stripped tinsel wire wrapped round in a helix. Great reception! Standard mobile aerial was rod aerial in sections. Static we used the 27 foot mast telescopic with a whip on top, or threw up a dipole between trees.

A bit more:

Check whether it is the original release, which was L/H drive, or the re-boot, which was R/H drive. The box art shows R/H drive, if so, you got lucky....
Thanks - really useful...

As an Arty Div unit of 1 (BR) Corps all our Land Rovers were LHD so it looks like I'll be swapping things around (or covering them in hessian)!

Alternatively seek out an older issue of the kit?

Released in 1980, see box art, L/H drive.
Do some searching/begging, but it is not too onerous to change. Chop the dash into three and swop ends. Change pedals and steering wheel mounting.

memory (for me) is a fickle thing, but I'm thinking the dash was a bit more 'civilised' on my FFR....
Good Luck.

I'm digging out kits from the stash that are half built and I'm finishing them off and mounting them on one base and donating them to a local charity, gets them moving up and out I guess. Plus it's stopping me searching the internet for more... Just the decals to go on the Mirage in the foreground, and the dreaded canopy frames to paint on that and the Finnish MIG 21

Is that the Airfix Mig?

It's really rewarding, clearing up the half built models in the stash, mounting them with gorilla clear glue to a simple painted base board. Tomorrow I'll donate them to my local charity shop as I did for the spitfire build in remembrance of PFGEN, earlier this year.

clearing the decks for next years big build......this

I'll have a dig in the loft for any other half finished projects and do them as well. Very cost effective modelling.

You are a very brave man indeed!

This pic popped up on my Facebook page, I was so impressed I thought I'd share it. Unfortunately it didn't give any info on the modeler who made it other than the photo was taken at the " scale Scotland in Edinburgh", whoever it was is definitely masterclass. I notice it has a switch in the base, wonder what its for? Very good though!
