I’m having a trip to IWM Duxford next month, does anyone want any reference pics for current/upcoming projects? Can’t guarantee I’ll get everything, but will try to get as many as I can

Like chopping ice into a drink? LOL!
Last time i used it was to open the lid off the water meters for our flat which were under the lawn.

The chap who needed the lid lifted was a tad surprised, to say the least!

For info The Tank Museum is currently doing a January sale with lots of items including books, merchandise and models reduced. I ordered a load of books as Xmas presents (mainly for myself!) in December and was pleasantly suprised at the prices compared to Amazon etc even for items like their home grown Haynes AFV manuals. I can't order as I couldn't afford the subsequent divorce but thought I'd spread the word.

Well, after only 15 months and almost 30 years since my last build, here she is, the Das Werk Tiger II with Friul tracks. Absolutely chuffed to bits and have enjoyed every minute. Having read through every page of this thread during lockdown before starting, the tips, encouragement and sheer mind numbing skill shown by others on here has been inspiring. Cheers boys. Now, for the commander......

Fantastic model.

I built a King Tiger when I was about 12 but it didn't quite meet that standard(!)

Good find today in Lidl, £7.99 for the set - you would pay that just for one set of drill bits.

Bit on the big side aren't they?
