They were one-third/two-thirds during the Falklands, as the white of the standard three-colour Type A was simply painted over. That's a post-Falklands scheme on that model, though, and a quick Google gives... a half-and-half:I think they were like that for a short while, happy to be corrected though.

He was a massive inspiration to figure modellers. I can remember meeting him at the Model Engineer Exhibition at the Seymour Hall in 1974 ish.
