Mile for Maude

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Walk a mile with us and help win the fight against cot death
In January this year, a beautiful little girl named Maude died in her sleep during her afternoon nap. She was only 2 years old. She was a victim of the insidious killer that is SIDS - Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or cot death.

On Saturday May 12th 2007, parents and children all over the UK will walk a Mile for Maude. Carrying pink balloons, we will remember Maude and celebrate her life - and the lives of all other children lost to SIDS, as we raise money for the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID).

YOU can help - by sponsoring a walker near you, or by donating online.

We believe no other parent should ever have to suffer the devastating sorrow felt by Maude's family, and the families of over 300 babies lost to SIDS each year in the UK alone.

Together, we can make a difference - in memory of Maude.
