Just read a article on nutrition in a magazine & I got thinking. You read a lot in the press about the nutritional values of various foods,too much fat,salt.Not enough omega whatever ect... Anyway, as a Serviceman/woman needs a specific diet that'll keep them going till the next scran,does the mess manager have to consider those facts when they plan the days menu.Do they go for good quality thing's like Sausages or will the cheaper 15% recovered 'meat' with addatives suffice? This question is aimed at the MILITARY messes as we all know the 'civie' contractors all go for the cheapest option to make a bigger profit. Your views guys!
