MERS Coronavirus warning

Chinese need to stop acting like Stone Age foragers and stop eating bats and stuff.

Not just the Chinese, but Africans too. The smart money is on the next catastrophic, mass culling of the human race will be as a result of an infectious virus originating from third world eating habits.
On the bright side, significantly reducing the earth’s population of those pesky humans should benefit the eco system and slow down globing warming, so it could be seen as a win!

Probably worth pointing out that the zombie apocalypse in World War Z (the book, not the crap fillum) started in China. I am seeing a theme here.

Although the exact origin and cause of the plague is unknown, a young boy from a village called Dachang in Chongqing, China is identified as the outbreak's official patient zero.
China initiates a military crisis with Taiwan to distract from their attempts to contain the initial outbreaks. However, the plague continues to spread to neighbouring nations by human trafficking, refugees and the black market organ trade. Initially these nations are able to cover up their smaller outbreaks, until a much larger outbreak in South Africa brings the plague to public attention.
So it looks as if Taiwan is in for some trouble (assuming real life imitates art).

The funny thing about that is hand sanitiser's far less effective than water and detergent. It has the effect of sealing in whatever bacteria's already on the hands, and the average person misses huge areas when rubbing it on - the thumbs and fingertips especially. There's really not much benefit to using the gel more than twice during a shift.
Indeed. But it’s much easier to both dispense and use, so presumably better than nothing?

and from eating cats . The corona virus can be very common
in out feline friends ......
Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) is a common viral infection in cats. It generally causes asymptomatic infection, but can cause mild diarrhea. As yet poorly understood changes in the virus can give rise to mutants that lead to the development of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).
and FIP is a serious killer of cats .

Begs the question .... Are those that die from this virus re-animating after death and biting people ?......We should be told

Not in my opinion. Without additional layers of protection and discipline, it's about as good as not using it, since you're still carrying bacteria from A to B, depositing bacteria on whatever you touch, and potentially sticking things in your mouth. The hand gel does provide protection up to a point. Being a sealant/barrier rather than a disinfectant, it becomes redundant once you've used it for handling two patients, and you'd really need to think about basic water and detergent.

That was the least believable part for me. There's no way any virus could survive being used in Sichuan cooking.

It's practically a WMD in its own right.

We should indeed.

The Chinese government need to tell us what the reanimation rate is. They are probably covering it up.

Expect the PLA to rock up on Taiwan’s beaches any time soon.

Hand sanitiser is almost sold out in HK. I got 3 bottles today, because we live out from the main population areas, but even our supermarkets are almost sold out. Masks all sold out. I may well be asking Arrse for care packages before too long.
Fuller's Earth:

Fuller’s earth can be found in skin care products, such as facial clays and masks used to fight wrinkles and treat acne. It’s also used in cosmetics to bind other ingredients, to keep other powders from caking together, to provide gentle exfoliating properties, or to otherwise stabilize products.

There you go - just check the labels and you can buy it over the counter...

Blot, Bang, Rub...job done... ;-)

No. You're more likely to see something along the lines of Mad Cow Disease, the first signs being more pissed-up skiprats on the streets on Merthyr on Saturday night.

I've still got tons of the stuff, and I'd take my chances with that.

My local takeaway specialise in Chong Qing dishes.

Think I’ll go to the chippy.
Last time I ate authentic Sichuan food, it had its own ionisation corona.

These chaps weren't prepared when the pot lid was lifted.

We’re well overdue a global pandemic, might as well embrace the coronavirus.

After, if we make it... we won’t have to worry about the next global pandemic as it will be decades away.

Jobs a goodun!

Thanks for putting my mind to rest ;)

I suspect your thinking of Tom Clancys Rainbow 6 - where they weaponise Ebola.
Read that, but nope, ‘twas a non fiction book.

They did the Ebola thing on the Clancy Telly thing on amazon too, digging up some Ebola riddled bodies.

Just ask, not a problem. And don’t hang around till the last minute.
