Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I echo that sentiment and wish good luck to Coun Baron's son and his oppos on their deployment.
  2. This is a fitting memorial. I should imagine that 2 MERCIAN will be there en masse for the ceremony.
  3. Seconded - well done that man!

Still not as good on the whole as the Septics. I remember visiting Boston and the US rememberence of recent servicemen who died is staggering in comparison. Streets re-named, intersections, buildings, schools, green areas - almost anything that's in the public gaze. Photos of serving sons and daughters are displayed with pride and flags fly from almost every house and building. There ere even quite a lot of black MIA flags dating back to 'Nam.
