Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just ad medical at weekend, and passed. I was just wondering how often do you have medicals? someone said every six months, and it would be just the pulmenns, what is this, is it different to the enlistment medical?

Every five years and on other occasions such as mobilisation.

  3. the hearing test should be done every 2 years or so I'm led to believe.

  4. every five years from the age of thirty and additional ones for parachuting, boxing, comission, diving etc etc hearing every two years. PULHHEEMS stands for Physical, Upper limbs, Locamotion (the ability to mobilise yourself) Hearing x2 (for each ear) Eyesight x2 (for each eye) Mental capacity (should never be subject to change unless brain damage occurs) Stability (psych stability).

  5. WHAT?!?!?

  6. HE SAID THE HEARING TEST SHOULD BE DONE EVERY TWO YEARS OR SO HE'S LEAD TO BELIEVE.

  7. Every six months till you pass CMSR then every five years after that.

  8. More often if working in an 'at risk' environment or if there is deterioration in hearing.
