  1. Hi all,

Have started interviewing process, but just had a quick question about the medical - I do not have an NHS number as have always been in private healthcare. Does anyone know if this is going to be a problem - it says they need your NHS number. Can I not just give them the number of my private doctor?

    Thanks a lot
  2. If you are a British citizen born here you'll have been allocated an NHS number whether you use it or not. Contact your local PCT who can go on the NHS Spine and look it up.
  4. You don't have private? How quaint.
  5. Thanks, I will ask my butler immediately.
  6. Pretty sure even private healthcare has to be linked to your NHS no. If you got knocked over in the street, you would be taken to hospital, not BUPA and they would treat you. You will have an NHS no and your GP (private or not) will be able to let you know it.

Also, I'm pretty sure it might be on docs you get when you register the birth, unless all that admin passed you by as well!
