MED tags

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Can anyone tell me if there's any point chasing up and wearing med tags?

I'm allergic to penicillin and it's derivatives but it's not like I'm going to come down with gangrene on exercise, but a fellow STAB told me I should pester them......any thoughts??

I was once almost given penicillin when I came down with Pnemonia years ago but my then girlfriend was on hand to tell them about said allergy.

  2. I have a med tag as I'm intollerant to erythromycin and I have been told that if I don't present it at the beginning of any duties etc and wear it throughout then I will be subject to disciplinary action.

    Fun, eh?

  3. yes, a lot of drugs have penicillin in them, what happens if you get knocked out, run over, RTA etc.. and they decided to pump you (well they are medics) with such a drug?

  4. And exactly which cap badge do YOU wear Filbert??? Or are you now part of some higher formation within the Corps?? Kin tech trades, a law unto themselves, cnuts.
