Maybe Another Help For Heroes Auction?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. My Father died about 18 months ago, and he was proud to have served in a unit that supported 5 Para (?) from D-day onwards during WW2. He ended the European war as a Lance Corporal in Monty's HQ. He was at Lunenberg Heath on the day the German High Commmand came to surrender and his Sergeant got him Monty's autograph (dated) on an air mail envelope addressed to Monty at his Pall Mall Club.

The experts tell me that the autograph is worth about £400 and I will happily donate this in an auction for HFH if I can be reasonably sure of it getting a good price.

If anyone is willing to bid at this price level, please let me know. If I get enough interest, you'll see it up for auction in a week or so.

    Regards to all ... C_D_B
