Martial Arts recognised by the Army?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I've had a look on the official site, but can't seem to find the page regarding this.

I know the Army recognises and trains in boxing and Judo, but I was wondering whether there would be any chance for me to learn something like Brazilian Juijitsu or Muay Thai via the Army, or would I need to seek a civilian club?

Also, obviously I know I'll be too time-pressed and tired during Phase 1, so would extra PT such as boxing come into play during Phase 2, or would it be best to settle in more before taking it up?

    Thanks in advance.
  2. Was more one for the marital arts
  3. There are only three persons in a boxing ring. A ref, a boxer and a blood donor.

    Work it out for yourself.
