Manning Stats any ideas?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Short question, Does the following stat sound accurate, and any links or sources.

1982 - MoD civil servants: Military personnel 1:11
    2007 - MoD civil servants: Military personnel 1:1 1/2

    Not including any reserves.

Lazy reseach I know, but research none the less.
  2. If it is, its obvious the reason why - todays military personnel need more looking after. I blame it on those pinko liberal parents in the 70s and 80s who listened to the bullshit about letting the little luvvies express themselves rather than instill some discipline.
  3. Have you tried looking at the DASA website?

Manning stats for MOD civilians and Armed Forces are on their site
  4. 98050 Civs to 190420 Mil = 1.94:1
