Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

Sixteen inmates killed in the assault including 4 Abu Sayyaf leaders. The government of the Philippines really has lost control. They pulled out of Iraq after their citizens were taken prisoner. Now another Philippine citizen has been taken hostage and will be released after the PI makes a statement denouncing US policy. One day they will wake up and realize you cannot negotiate with terrorists.
  2. I visited Manila back in the days when Marcos was in power.
I have never seen so many guns on the streets and that included Belfast in the early 70s.
Marcos would just turn the police loose when the crime got bad, know/suspected criminals where shot dead, no questions asked.
And filth, trust the Cathlics to organise the dirtiest place in the far east, even I was disgusted.
