Has anyone else watched this on UK TV Food? The host basically eats unusual food challenges on the show after 'exploring' some of the 'best' eat's in the USA.

No wonder the yanks are so fat!!

  2. i love it! but the food rarely looks appetising and the bastards a messy eater often ending up with food all over himself!!!

definatly worth a watch but its more entertainment than informative
  3. Seen it a couple of times but have yet to see anything remotely appetising. Last night there was something about a place that gets frankfurters specially made at 3' long - but had to put it in 3 buns 'cos nobody makes 3' long buns. FFS, even I could knock up a 3' long bun in a domestic oven, frankfurters bend, don't they? Could flog it as a Cumberland Dog...

    Yanks. No imagination...

Enjoy it and as stated can see why the Spams are fat ba$tards!

Some of the food look good enough to make me fly to the US of A just see how good it really tastes!
  8. The burger inside a Krispy Kreme doughnut at the baseball ground the other day actually made me feel both a little sick and hungry at the same time.

Some of the challenges are mental, I reckon most squaddies could polish off most of them after a couple of weeks of Salisbury Plain though.
  9. Thread resurrection. As the missus is away "Mother-sitting", I've been doing my normal channel hopping. After a few hours, I'm porned-out and caught this show on the Dave channel. My God! There is some serious trenching going on here! Some of the concoctions make you want to jump on a plane to the USA as soon as possible, whereas most of them make you want to reach for the bucket. How come this Adam fella isn't a 40 stone monster? Strangely addictive, especially with the sound turned down.
  10. Its honking watching the fat baseball capped yanks revelling in their own greed, obesity and stupidity

Every meal looks like a pile of over cooked over greased shit

One day his stomach will split and he'll die writhing in a pile of chilli, beef patties and processed cheese

  11. Love watching this myself. Some of those challenges would be a piece of piss if it wasnt for the time limits. Would love to try some of them too.
  12. Strict calorie controlled vegan diet inbetween filming series'
  13. It would need to be! Another selling point for this show is the number of good looking girls he gets into camera shot. All my favourite vices catered for in one show.
  14. I find the normal food these places serve all looks pretty good and appetising. Some of the challenges are good, especially the hot food ones, 10 chicken wings and a five minute waiting period afterwards; throwing up disqualifies you.

For the amount he tucks away, I'd always thought he looked like a plump yank, rather than a fat bastard, JBM has now explained that.

I don't recall seeing anything similar in the UK, apart from the Curry house up north that gives you the meal for free, if you eat their hottest curry. Rupali's curry house? I suspect that most cafes operate on the 'One sausage ****!' system of appreciating their customers.
  15. Ah, the old Army Catering Corps approach to customer service - remember it well!
