Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. oh another 'look at me, look at me, I'm different' story.
  2. I know, I thought he would have got all the bumming he could want and even some he didn't over there?
  3. Once he turned 12 the men of his village lost interest.
  4. That's one of the many things I can't understand about Afghanistan - they bum each other senseless every Thursday night but homosexuality is a capital crime.

have a browse at that, it's supposed to make it all clear to you
  6. That has to be the bastard child of Frankie Howerd. Like father like son;

son of frankie howard.jpg frankie howard.jpg
  7. I wager that there will be a few empty prayer mats in front of him on Friday!

  8. So basically it's saying that bumming's ok as long as you don't kiss and that in the end it's all down to women being unclean? Nope, still don't understand them!
  9. Fixed that for you ;-)

The hypocrisy of all religions - but Islam particularly - never ceases to amaze me.

Mind you, he chose a very catchy book title didn't he ? "It is your enemy who is dock-tailed",
  10. no wonder he's chutney, he's too ugly by far for any self respecting camel or donkey!

  11. And our soldiers are dying for these people WHY?

The sooner we are out of there the better.

  12. Whilst i understand and totally agree with your sentiment Rodders, I think the Afghan peoples are the last reason we went in there.

But regardless of the actual reason, you can be sure it wasn't worth one Coalition life. Better to let the locals sort their own selves out and talk to the victors if we need to trade with them. That and spray the poppy crop every year with agent orange. If the locals don't want to get cancer - don't grow the poppy.

  13. it isn't the religion as such, more the very weird (local) interpretations they have made. So many can't read the damn book (which IIRC isn't to be translated) that they rely on the local Iman to tell 'em what to believe. It's a bit like the way duty rumour gets around camp, here we have some lad who has been lifted for D&D, it's now been twised into 'they found kiddy porn on his phone when he was arrested'. It's utter bollocks (just like religion) but with no other information the gullible (devout) will believe it.
