Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. FYI

BBC reprting a man has been charged with plotting to kidnap a muslim soldier currently top story on bbc news website.

  2. Which rather defuses "IRATE MUSLIM BOOKSHOP OWNER SPEAKS OUT ON POLICE STATE" headline, n'est ce-pas?
  3. Biped

Took the words right out of my mouth. What about the other moron they released who said the same thing?
  4. And lets remember anybody released from Police custody without charge isn't necessarily innocent, It just means they hav'n't enough evidence to press charges (I am of course not implying that that man is guilty).

Glad something has come out of this and hope they can make the charges stick, last thing we need is this man eventually walking free and the "Community" shouting "I told you so".

Then again he'll be walkin free soon enough under some "peace deal" but thats another story I suppose.
  5. Yes, I wonder if the shouting stops all together or just quietens down to "I personally was wrongly arrested".

Happens all the time and if they had some connection to the one who is being charged for the 'beheading plot' or the ones charged with aiding a terrorist, they only have themselves to blame if they hang around with the 'wrong sort'.

I personally would feel very satisfied if they were re-arrested and charged once the mountain of evidence still to go over provides enough proof. But that's only if it does :)
  6. This article regarding Brummie Anglo-Pakistani Muslim Gina Khan in the Times also provides an interesting context for any multi-cultural jihad-apologists.

    Our Mosques are importing Jihad

'Over the past 15 years, she says, there has been an influx of jihadist thinking into her part of Birmingham. Bookshops sell radical literature and the mosques preach separatism and hatred. The Government and the white Establishment have allowed it to happen. And she is outraged about it. “It’s all happening on your doorstep,” she says, “and Britain is still blind to the real threat that is embedded here now.'
  7. Just as concerning is her quote that: "The trouble is...that many of the Pakistanis who have come to Birmingham are all too easily swayed. “Most of them are ignorant, uneducated, illiterate people from rural areas."

If it takes an advanced degree, a marketable skill and a good wodge of cash to get into Australia, NZ or Canada, why the hell are we admitting every sort of useless peon from the sinkholes of the world, other than from some hippy notion of free access for all to the benefits of our taxpayers' contributions? Socialism... now I'm angry again....
  8. I don't know about 'most of them' , but she makes a very good point.

The ignorance and nepotism manifests itself over and over again.

British born Pakistanis keep asking "Why aren't prayers conducted in English" everytime another ignorant bigoted t*at is foisted on the mosque.

The sheer ignorance, and seeking to transfer values and standards from some backwater sh*thole Kashmir-side to here, beggars belief sometimes.

If you want to change attitudes , change the message they're getting fed.
  9. a very brave and sensible woman - if only more muslims thought like this and could wield their influence in muslim commnuities. I hope she manages to gather some support from others who believe in freedom and justice
