    Having just tried this out:

I have now binned Ewido, Lavasoft's Adware, Spybot Search and Destroy and PC Tools Spyware doctor.

What an excellent piece of software.

    Has anyone else tried it?

  2. Yes, used it yesterday to get rid of a very persistant "XP Security Suite" malware
  3. Just used it to get rid of "System Antivirus 2008" pop-up thingy - excellent!
  4. Good timing. I am looking for some anti malware kit. Currently I use adware, as per MSR.

    Does it self update?

From their website: Activating the full version unlocks realtime protection, scheduled scanning, and scheduled updating. It is a one time fee of $24.95.

  6. Are you using the full or the demo version? mSR.

The free version. I tend use it on others' PCs, as I am more of a Mac and Ubuntu user these days.

I use firefox under windows and generally know what not to click on. Combine that with NOD32 and I haven't (touch wood) had a problem.

Any 'research' is done using an Ubuntu Live CD.

  8. Ubuntu? Never heard of it. What´s that?
  9. I've been using 'Knoppix STD' for research myself, for a few years now. :)
