Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

I dont know if there are any other users who have encountered this, but on a thread related to preconceptions of pikeys, Google Chrome throws up a malware warning.

    Any news/gen?
  2. False positive? Try the same link with Safari.
  3. Could be the browser trying to grab malware from one of the ad servers.
  4. Just tried it in Chrome (running on an XP VM). No issues.
  5. I just got the warning on Chrome using XP.
  6. When was the last time you saw a Pikey with a laptop (or even a proper toilet and very basic hygene facilities) advertising half-decent MILF?

This occasionally happens when someone embeds an image in a post or their signature that is hosted on a dodgy site. It is likely not a false positive, and also unrelated to OS. Can you post a link to the page where it happens please and I will get rid of the offending image - if that's what the problem is.
  8. Surely there are no virus and malware for Mac.... :)

  9. The Gypsy Stereotypes thread is throwing up malware warning for people using Chrome. Suspect it'll be someone's sig block again but just to flag it up.

  10. yep i just had that as well
  11. I turned sig blocks off somewhere in the settings, not such a good idea to click on an innocent link to find semi-naked women in a sig block on a work computer.
  12. Quick scan shows that if it is a sig block, it appears in the first 40 posts. The rest are fine.

vampireuk had linked to a picture hosted on a site that Google considers a risk. I deleted the picture and it should now be sorted.
  14. It might not be a sig block. It just usually is and a good place to start.
  15. Blimey, that was quick!

    Thanks Boss.
