Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just had a malware alert on the charity forums regarding "Rosie" doing a run, can anyone check it out?

Can you give a bit more info please? What link, what message?

  3. I checked on Google and came up with SFA.

  4. Just tried both links, Avast! and Spybot didn't see anything nasty, although the link has been changed by the OP.

It's in Charities and Welfare entitled 'Rosie is running 2 marathons'. Clicking it results in this:

Google Chrome if that's any help.

I'm using Chrome too. I mentioned it in case GCO needed to know.

Edited to add: Hope that doesn't mean you Chromers are the clever ones!

That doesn't necessarily mean he has superb taste in his choice of image hosting websites. The deletion of a banner from his signature seems a small price to pay for not scaring the hell out of Google Chrome users and making them think that ARRSE is trying to do nasty things to them.

Also I'm sure that he would rather people read his thread than got that error message!
