Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Sadly Tony passed away in his sleep a fortnight ago. He had been unwell for some time and the big C returned. I knew him as RSM at Tidworth.

    Great man, sadly missed.
  2. I remember my first day at 22 and he gripped me for my haircut! DOH! R.I.P.
  3. Very sad news indeed. Tony was my Tp SSgt at Dover! RIP Sir.
  4. His Guard Room inspections on a Wednesday mornings were hideous! We would be up all night prep'ing the Guard Room for handover and he would take no prisnors when inspecting the oncoming shift. I think in the 6 months I did on guard there I think I was the only one who got a "good turnout" after he spent a good couple of minutes trying to find fault.
  5. Condolences to his extended family,
I find it really sad that Corky (as I knew him) has gone to the RE Org in the sky.
At least we know that with him up there with those that have gone before that the REunion will be well sorted.

    REst easy mate
  6. Is that the same person who was a SSM at Chepstow in early 90's and used to umpire cricket matches?
  7. RIP Tony. Condolences to the Family.
  8. was in Hameln with Tony in the 80's. REst in peace
