  1. 3 experienced mechanics are wanted to join as trainee foremen within the maintenance division of amining company in Zambia, with a view to becoming supervisors after 6-12months.

    Candidates will have the necessary ‘hands on’ skills to step into the role and willbe skilled and qualified within diesel mechanics, auto electrical, fitter andturners and high voltage electrical fields. They will be expected to work onall unplanned breakdowns as well as the daily servicing requirement for thevehicle fleet. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 yearsengineering/mechanical experience within the Armed Forces particularly on tanksand large vehicles. They will also need engineering qualifications or the ArmedForces equivalent to enable them to be granted a Zambian work permit.

    Initial base salary will be between USD$70-75K per annum with housing providedfor residential candidates and their families. The successful candidates willbe offered a fixed employment contract. The roles will be based in Solwezi witha fly in/fly out (FIFO) role on a rotational basis of 10 weeks on/3 weeks offfor UK based candidates, and 6 weeks on /2 weeks off for Africa based candidates.
