Mad Max Fury Road - stuff

I've hung around film sets for 18 years now.....the extraordinary attention to detail is one of the things that has always tickled me.

If you enjoyed Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron doing their best to murder each other under a giant twin engined War Rig, this might be of interest.

For film buffs and hardcore petrol-heads only:

ETA: May have been covered in an earlier thread, if so my apologies

The informative is specifically for this bit.

Good looking video though. I might save that for tonight.
I'm "working from home", and can now confirm it is well worth a watch!

I watched it too and was highly impressed by the skill of the designer and craftspeople that made all those menkle vehicles.

I was amazed that they built three of those War Rig things.

I just hope at least one of them is in a museum.

edited to add:

Here's an article on how they rolled one of the War Rigs. For realzies.

I was the head of the Armoury department on Fury Road, it was fun to work on but long, 7 months. It was a bit sad watching all those vehicles getting smashed up during the stunts though, but spectacular in real life. Tom hardy is great to work with, we used to stalk eachother around the streets of Swakopmund at night with airsofts!

I learnt last week that Charlize and Tom don't get on and filming was spectacularly awkward.
