Just out of interest how can the massive price be justified? Does it have some historical importance or something?
I believe that US Federal law requires full-auto weapons to have been in private hands before a certain date in order that they may be sold into other private hands, thus drastically restricting the number in circulation.

Supply and demand and all that.

They have to be registered before 1986 although there is an arcane rule for mp44s and the like that are turning up as veterans die off.
Basically anunfired gpmg goes for $$$$$$$ and will probably never be fires as it keeps going up in price as no more automatic weapons are allowed by law.
