Lyrics

Slug, LJH, MiB, moi et al had a very jolly time giving it virtual Karaoke last night in chat.

Unfortunately Stella did not protect me from the muppets giving an APPALLING rendition of American Pie a la the last song at NAAFI bop on a Payday Friday night!!!!

We then gravitated to playing guess the song by the lyrics. So I thought it might be a laugh to carry it on in here. God only knows what the likes of MDN or DB2 might come up with................................ 8O

Anyway here we go with the first one......

San Fransisco Bay past pier thirty nine
Early P.M. can't remember what time
Got the waiting cab stopped at the red light
Address unsure of, but it turned out just right

Guess and enjoy! Once you get it please put something else up!

Oooo I know it, i know it!!!

(Cowhead runs off to listen to all his albums)

Have a nice day!! Stereophonics. Get in!!

And now for the next 'song'... It's really catchy and chav.

Lovin every minute
Just you and me
in a field dreaming
You'll be my baby
Maybe there's a possibility
We'll grow old together live happily (happillyyy)
In your grave
Bring out the tiger in me

Old, PRS? I'll give you fcuking old!..........

I'll never forget the moment we kissed
The night of the hayride.
The way that we hugged to try to keep warm
While taking a sleigh ride.
The Halloween Hop when everyone came
In funny diguises
The Saturday dance, the penny arcade,
The fun and the prizes.

Magic......

Ooops, didn't realise there was roooles:

The more I get of you,
Stranger it feels, yeah.
And now that your rose is in bloom.
A light hits the gloom on the grave.
There is so much a man can tell you,
So much he can say.
You remain,
My power, my pleasure, my pain, baby

Perry Como - Magic Moments
Seal - Kiss from a Rose

She struts into the room but I don't know her
and with a magnifying glance I just sort of look her over
We have a drink or two, well, maybe three
and then suddenly she starts telling me her life story

Kiss from a rose, by seal!

Ok...

...some folk inherit,
star spangled eyes,
ooh, that send you down to war
and when the tax man comes to the door
they always look around and hear them say, yeah
it ain't me
it ain't me
I ain't no millionaire's son, y'all
it ain't me
it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate born

OK, hows about....

White ones, black ones, yellow ones, red ones,
Necrophiliacs lookin' for dead ones.
The greatest of the Sadists and the Masochists too
Screaming "Please hit me" and "I'll hit you"
Everybody balling in batches,
Pyromaniacs striking matches.
I'm gonna itch me where it scratches
We're...................
(Y'all)
NOT "rhythm stick" - have added lines to help ;)

John Fogerty; Fortunate Son

and now............
I've been in the army for three years now, I enjoy playing at the games
And when I put my uniform on I feel like big John Wayne
My camouflage jacket fits me perfectly but the trousers could be improved
I have to take three steps or more before they even start to move

Hantstiger's

Fortunate Son - Creedence

Git this one

Out on runway number nine
Big 707 set to go
Well I'm out here on the grass
Where the pavement never grows
Where the liquor tasted good
And the women all were fast
There she goes my friend
She's rolling out at last

THAT's Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick, Ian Dury & the Blockheads

I was standing in the station being punded by the rain
So I chose the last compartment of a stationary train.
Felt someone get in behind me
But I never caught their eye,
But I thought I heard a woman's voice
Whispering
Goodbye

Alice Cooper, be my lover.

Mine's still not answered either:
I've been in the army for three years now, I enjoy playing at the games
And when I put my uniform on I feel like big John Wayne
My camouflage jacket fits me perfectly but the trousers could be improved
I have to take three steps or more before they even start to move
