Pretty grim stuff there.

Grim stuff yes, but I found it to be fascinating footage. Its not very often you see things like that from a German perspective so never really get to see allied aircraft 'in action' so to speak.

The B-17 shootdown was just awful. I know it's one of the iconic gun camera clips, but it's still dreadful everytike I look at it.

Tail guns down , ball turret guns hanging down , ditto nose turret , and the Boche taking his time shooting up the airframe.

Every man on that Fortress is dead, and the only reason it's still flying is autopilot, and the ability to absorb ridiculous punishment.

Interesting clips, first time I've actually seen a Mustang being engaged.

There are some 'good' clips on the WaW series, including Spitfie v 109 over Malta , with the Spit Pilot standing on a wingtip and pulling hard, and out turning the 109 shooting at him.

Also a clip from Ratsy Preddy's attack on an airfield , where he is at the same level as the crew door on a JU52, and still descending!

Some other less than ethical clips featured too , including a Typhoon shooting up a horse drawn field kitchen....

Nasty stuff, bit of a lump in my throat after watching that. Braver than me every last one of them.

Bit chilling to watch, old chap. Put me right off my dinner.

Still, interesting in a cold, clinical sort of way.

Were the German chefs non-military then?
