Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I am in the TA, Can I get LSSA when I am away for over 10 days?

From my own experience, if on attachment to reg unit, no, if on FTRS or mobilised service yes, but only if you've received last two bounties. Pretty crap actually, lost four months LSSA whilst abroad with regs. It shows up on pay statement as mega days out of camp training. One thing to check out is if you do over a certain amount of training days you're entitled to paid leave, something like 125 in the year. Not sure of that figure though so I'd check it out. I didn't know about that last until too late so lost it, w*nk admin staff.

You will get LOA though if going abroad and payable for where you're going. Ten days in theatre to qualify and back dated to first day in theatre, think it's the same with LSSA.
  3. Hi,

No we can't. Thought that i had 21 days on the way from a course but my dutiful pay clerk pullled out the book and it said no!!!! Unless we do FTRS etc then we dont.
