The Armed Forces Memorial has now entered the finals for a prestigious award that recognises the nation’s favourite Lottery-funded projects.

Following a magnificent public voting response in June and July 2008, the Memorial, which forms part of the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield, scored very highly.

Support is now once again required from the thousands of people who voted previously and from everyone else who would like to see the Memorial scoop the highest accolade.

The Memorial, which received £2.4 million of Lottery money, commemorates more than 16,000 service men and women who have been killed on duty or as a result of terrorism since the end of the Second World War.
