  1. Hi

I am a writer (mainly of military SF) who is planning to write a book that would include a number of people from the British Army. I am currently looking for sources and I thought that some people here might be able to help.

I need a book that details, in as much detail as possible, how a new recruit would join the army, what kind of training they could go through (when and where, and suchlike) and how their career would develop.

Can anyone suggest such a book?

    Thanks in advance

    Hope this helps.
  3. I've ordered the library copy, thanks. Anything else?

Pull up a sandbag may give a few insights.

Depends on what you are after, most books are either SAS balcony underwater knifefighter heroics or tales of drunkenness in far flung places like Germany or Aldershot.
