London Walks

Yesterday afternoon I went on the Spies and Spiecatcher walk, it was very informative and entertaining. The guide, Alan, covered Burgess, Phlby and McLain who used truth as a cover for if you tell the truth no-one believs you; for instance one spy put State secrets into a suitcase and walked out of the office, when asked what he had in the case, he replied, State secrets and was allowed to pass.

The walk goes every Saturday at 14.30hrs Piccadilly Tube station, meet by Clysdale Bank. £8 lasts about 2.5Hrs.

Thanks so much for that link, that kind of thing is right up my street. Have you read "Spycatcher", by Peter Wright? It's an amazing book, he was running a desk during the cold war and in his books blows all the secret work that was going on, and goes into great detail about Philby et al. Seriously good read.
