  1. Today is the 97th anniversary of the London Scottish becoming the first Territorial Army unit to go into the line next to the Regular Army.

    They fought at Messines ridge, they held their ground and many of them hold it still.

  3. Do they still hold a ceremonial dinner for this with the London Regt every year?
  4. My Great Uncle Jack was amongst them - one of the few that survived Messines.
  5. Yes, the Hallowe'en Dinner - it's on tonight at Horseferry Road and a mix of currently serving and old n bold shall be in attendance. I wont be there... but must manage to get myself along to it one of these years.
