This is a really interesting and lovingly curated small museum, and it would be a shame to see it go.

Please sign the petition against closure at:gopetition.

There is also a facebook group

There are some more details on the London Fire Brigade Website, but the direct link to the museum website is not currently working.

I do hope you will be able to support this museum.
  2. Boo fcuking hoo :crying:

Who wants to look at a museum filled with mannequins of sleeping firemen in an exhibit called "On-watch sleeping apparel of the London Fire Brigade 1880 to 2008"?

If the cnuts were paid in line with the amount of work they did then there would be plenty of funds available to keep the museum going.

Can't they get the militant (and not exactly strapped for cash) FBU to pay for it? Or contribute out of their earnings from their 2nd/3rd jobs?
  4. Get Stuffed! Militant striking b@stards!

Stick your museum up your arrse! :x
  5. Don't quite think that we could manage a full scale 'WATER-ON' scenario right now.
  6. It's ok it's not going for good

It's being merged with the museum of taxi driving and the museum of window cleaning on it's days off.

They tried to make it open solely as a fire brigade museum but all the staff went on strike, and the national army museum had to step in.

    Hope this clears it up.
