London District Specialist Training Team

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Web site

The LDSTT web space has been overhauled significantly and, also now hosted on an official army server, together with a similar sister site on the ArmyNet under the communities section. Here you will find additional information as it is added to over the coming months. Whilst it is aimed primarily at reservists in the London area, it is open to all, including those of the regular forces, in fact we have three regulars currently attending two courses.

The site lists all the courses we run, together with course dates, and other useful information. Please feel free to email the web master if you have any queries or suggestions.

However, to place a bid for a course, the individual has to book the course through their PSI/PASO, though an application form can be down loaded

    Jennie -

Thanks for this - a most useful post. If you see anyone from the 145/2 Bdes' teams - and Gods know they are close enough to you - then give them a hint that this is a good forum for such things!

  3. jennie, you still posted to LDSTT??

  4. Have course there soon. Wildo!

  5. Nice site.

How happy are LDSTT to queries from toms to see if there are spaces on a course before going through the training PSI? Often, with the once a week factor, put in request, wait ages for the bid, and there were never any places to start off with. Meanwhile, trying to plan the rest of your life...... kids pissed off that you are away again.....

    Cheers

  6. Thanks, hope it is useful...

I shall rasie your point(s) at our next team meeting. However, I do not see a problem with you calling first to see if there is a space on a course before youapply. They may even accpet a provisioanl booking, until they recieve your bid, but do not quote me on that.

Most courses are not fully subscribed, with the exception of the RMQ and DITz. Once we have the CBRN programme rewritten, there may be problems there.

Course joining instructions are sent about 3-4 weeks before the first week end. We cannot normally take people on less then 7-10 days of a course for messing reasons.

    Hope this helps
