#16.3

If you’re short of toilet paper simply find a picture of some online and print out as many sheets as you need.

For extra comfort print the picture onto any spare bog roll you have instead of printer paper.

You could occupy yourself by doing some research into the possibility of a niche business. Depending on what it is going to be used for and by whom (gender etc), one could offer bog paper with the picture of a politician of low popularity, an actor, or a Babestation presenter.

Yesterday, with all of this free time, I thought I'd try something new.

SWMBO said no and slapped me, so I tried meditation instead.

I'd seen meditation music and sound on YouTube, so switched on the noise cancelling headphones and started to meditate.

I must admit, I was a bit sceptical, but it worked, and felt really rested and relaxed afterwards.

SWMBO did mention however, that she had to shut the double glazed door, as she couldn't hear the TV above my snoring.

Lockdown Tip #whatever - Ensure that you are on one of the few "essential" building sites in London and annoy the fuck out of your WFM/Home Schooling neighbours (site is checked on a daily basis and the noise pollution is minimal) so that they end up sending an epistle to your company's H/O such as this:-
"To whomever you are?

We have endured the most horrific noise this week which has been totally unacceptable on all levels. It is continuing now - drilling, banging, 2 cranes, the whole block is shaking and workers shouting to each other, dust, dirt - none of them distancing correctly and still going in to our shops. If this continues on Monday morning I am calling the police. You have no ethical reason for continuing this work while you know full well that we are working here and home schooling our children. The CCS have been useless, we’ve contacted MPs and councillors. After lock down do you honestly think we are going to let you operate in our community- you are deluded! We want you gone. Your companies will have the worse press ever not that you care. I’m contacting local businesses and schools to explain your lack of regard for the community.

1)The saddest issue in this is the bedridden disabled resident in flat 32c and the noise she has had to endure. How do you sleep at night knowing she can’t? On what planet is this acceptable. Apparently her carers have to navigate your staff and vehicles to deliver her medical supplies. Do you actually have any conscience?

No of course not - profit over people your company motto!

Please reply to confirm that the work is finishing TODAY Friday April 3rd.

2)By the way your ridiculous LYING posters will be down by tonight.
"

Ref the two bits underlined, 1) The bedridden disabled lady died 2 years ago and someone else has moved into the flat mentioned since then, a young family of 5, 2) The person writing this has already been warned off by Plod about her vandalising the site and has now threatened in B&W to start again, a set of Plod's finest wrist bracelets beckon.
It's now Weds afternoon and the site is still going and what she seems to forget is that before she moved into the area, my company had already built an underground car park for 200 cars and 30 lock up garages for local residents to use, plus had also paid a substantial sum towards a traffic calming programme around the local school.

At least while she's ripping into the builders she's leaving some other poor bugger alone !

A lot of people are doing all those jobs round the house that they'd been putting off "till they had some time on their hands "
This is a big mistake .
What are you going to do after you've done all the jobs , eh ?
Think long term ........

I think there is a lab somewhere that turns out these people .
They are everywhere …..

Serious one. If you're not using your car/van/motorbike/truck/tank/bus during the lockdown, charge the battery.

Batteries will lose charge over time (dash-cams, internal resistance) and lead acid car batteries are not meant to be deeply discharged. If they're left flat, they'll die. If you try to jump-start a car with a flat battery, you can wreck the alternator. Pass the word.

There will be a shortage of batteries and alternators at the end of this.

I have to do regular trips as classed as essential worker, so I am alternating which car I take in each trip so they get a regular run out. Working so far.

Morning @DaveDaffe,
"Here", is India. I think I've got the free VPN from 'Kaspersky' but I'm such a technosaur I forget it's there. It apparently gives a limited amount of time per day(more than enough for 3 minutes) but you have to switch it on. The Gov't., has banned interweb porn so I don't know if that's the reason. When I have tried and have remembered to switch it on, the 'Web page you were looking for is not available', shows up.
Sign up to Private Internet Access (PIA) about $30 a year, pay via paypal. I've used it for a few years now and used it around the globe in some very IT invasive countries without any issues.

I tried to raise this issue at work with our cars a couple of weeks ago.
Safe to say my car is running fine.

Not strictly 100% true. Lead acid can stand draining to zero much better than say lithium ion. If there is sufficient fluid within then it'll take a charge. Sealed lead acid shouldn't have a problem.
A good recovery technique with a lead acid that's flat is to drop it onto a hard surface from say 1 foot. Then charge. Shocking the battery like that causes deposits on the plates to fall off. Obviously this is unnecessary with an AGM battery.
Lithium batteries on the other hand really do not like draining. They get to a level then go to sleep and it can be a right pain to wake them up again.

"Lead–acid batteries designed for starting automotive engines are not designed for deep discharge. They have a large number of thin plates designed for maximum surface area, and therefore maximum current output, which can easily be damaged by deep discharge.

Best avoided and easily avoided, IMHO.

If you’re bored at home, wind your wifey up by leaving the toilet seat up, cap off the toothpaste, underpants on the bedroom floor, etc. until she starts a row.

Let her rant for a couple of sentences while you grab a snack from the fridge and also a chilled beverage.

When she pauses for a breath just ask her to, “Calm down, dear.”

Kick back in the armchair and watch her go chicken oriental!

Endless fun.

Caution: Amplivox required.
