I thought you needed a CMH to get buried in Arlington now?
Section 60 is reserved for Iraq/Afghanistan war dead.
Sounds like a True Warrior... RIP Fella...
as far as I am aware, if you have served in uniform , you have the right to be buried at Arlington, I have visited the place and it is HUGE, from the top of hill which is where General Lee's old house is, you can visit it, you can see Washington DC and all the major landmarks, it is a humbling place, JFK is buried there, you don't get enough time to see everything in one day.
RIP to a Brave man.
When I visited I only got to visit for about 3 hours, and made a promise to go back. There are also at least 2 brits buried there, Windgate and Dill
It is HUGE and humbling and anyone who isn't moved by Arlington... there is something wrong with that person. It is moving and humbling. Especially when you personally knew some of the fallen.
I went to Arlington a few years ago when my ship was alongside in Norfolk, Virginia. I also made a beeline to the Wall of Remembrance as well.
It's a truly moving place. Well worth the trek for anyone considering going.
