Linking to other threads

#3
Go to the reply you want to quote, select "Reply With Quote", copy the result into a new thread (select, right click, copy, open new thread, right click, paste) and add your own comments.

That's to quote an existing reply. If you want to refer to an entire thread, open the thread you want, copy the address (http://www.arse.co.uk/etc) and paste it into your new thread. Before submitting, preview the post to make sure that the link works.

What he said. But, if you want to link direct to a particular post, such as the one above, right click on the #3, click on 'Copy Shortcut', and use that as your hyperlink. There is a button above the box you type your message in, looks like a globe with a couple of chain links. click that, and it gives you a text box to put you link in, if you copied the link as stated, just paste it into that box.
