Interesting article in New Scientist this week

New Scientist

This article is reprised in the editorial, with a final comment I paraphrase as

"either look after your soldiers better when they get back, or don't send them in the first place"

Kind regards

I am wondering if there is a link between total body meltdown PT and diabetes? My diabetic nurse has half a dozen ex-Paras, Marines or SF types on her list - in a small area- which is interesting.

I suppose there could be some link to hyper-activity (not like the mental kids!) and problems with sustaining their blood sugar levels that could lead to problems in later life. Add into that the fact that they are more likely to go without enough food for extended periods (when on exercise and operations etc)
