Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. RBLI are a charity currently offering LifeWorks: a fully-funded employability guidance course, delivered free of charge to the service community. If you are a service-leaver or veteran looking to review your employment options, we can develop your abilities and identify the transferable strengths you can use to build a career beyond the Armed Forces.

LifeWorks is delivered either over the phone with our training team, or with additional content as Lifeworks+ from our residential training facility in Kent. LifeWorks+ adds working directly with a personal adviser to:

Build a winning CV using your existing skills
Give you real job interview experience
Prepare for the changes that Civvy Street will bring

Both versions of the course include ongoing contact with our team for advice and guidance. If you would like to find out more about the course, you can call us free on 0800 319 6844, visit our website at RBLI Family or follow us on Twitter @rbli and Facebook.

    Thanks for your support.
  2. Our next LifeWorks+ residential course will be taking place between 21st - 25th November at our purpose-built training site near Maidstone in Kent. The course, along with food and accommodation, is free of charge to service leavers, veterans and their spouses.

This will be the last chance to attend in 2011, as due to the festive season there will be no course in December - however there will now be two sessions in January 2012 to accommodate as many bookings as we can. Places are filling quickly, so for more information or to book your place please call our team free on 0800 319 6844.

    Thank you.
  3. Senior Aircraftman Andrew Hughes has kindly taken the time to tell us about his experiences leaving the armed forces, and the challenges he faced during the move to Civvy Street. Andrew was medically retired due to a back injury, and found the guidance and direction to develop his civilian career through the LifeWorks programme.

Andrew’s story, along with details about how LifeWorks can help you transition to civilian life can be found here: Andrew Hughes - LifeWorks Testimonial
  4. Our November Lifeworks+ course is now fully-booked, and with no sessions during December due to Christmas, places are filling quickly for January already.

To secure a place on the next LifeWorks+ course which runs from 16th - 20th January 2011, please call our team free on 0800 319 6844.

  6. Hi Dingerr,

Thank you for your reply. I can confirm that our training centre and accommodation are fully accessible, and that we have already delivered the LifeWorks+ course to a number of wheelchair users.

    Many thanks.
