Well now, look how quickly Billy Vague has said the current (recently departed) Libyan Foreign Minister will not be immune from prosecution after he arrived at Farborough today.

Let me get this right Billy - you want to debrief the man who may have signed off on Lockerbie, had fingers in all sorts of pies such as arming the IRA, other terrorist groups, and who probably knows who shot Yvonne Fletcher, but you don't want to rule out a prosecution? And lets not forget potential genocide, mass murder or human rights violation charges possibly being brought against him in the Hague.

There is no way this man will speak without doing a very airtight deal with us. He will be granted asylum in the fist instance - this is a no brainer. On Sky News they are saying its not clear whether he will claim or not, but he is actually now (quite rare in the UK) a genuine asylum seeker fleeing political or personal persecution should he return to his own country.

He will be thoroughly debriefed on everything he wants to reveal, be given a nice big house somewhere and a monthly retainer. As to other charges being brought against him by other bodies, that remains to be seen, but Billy really should think before he speaks as there is zero chance the UK will prosecute Koussa if they want him to reveal the secrets.

  2. Im not sure he arrived by scheduled flight, and if his asylum claim were really true surely he should have sought it in Tunisia, the first safe country that he moved to.....

He came by private jet, and yes his claim is bogus in a real sense as a safe third country is involved. But, we have heads of state who arrive here and claim asylum all the time - Narwaz Sharif and Thaksin Shinawatra spring immediately to mind and the latter was at the UN in NY when he was ousted. This is didn't stop the UK granting him asylum. We bend and break the rules for 'important' people all the time, and Thaksin had stolen billions from the Thai treasury, so clearly the UK Government saw that as a golden 'investment opportunity'.

We don't even allow the immigration rules to apply properly to bogus and impoverished asylum seekers, so there is no chance they will be implemented in the case of well - heeled foreign cabinet Ministers and future intelligence assets!
  4. I'll bet that a few members of the Labour government are wishing this cnut has a heart attack yesterday,
