Letter Writing.

  1. I'm posted early next year and have been told that I'm required to write a letter prior to my arrival. Though I've heard of this practice, at previous units I have served with this request has never been made, so I'm looking for a little bit of direction as to what the content of this letter should involve. Sensible pointers are greatly appreciated!

    Be business-like in your letter and avoid familarity such as, "get the kettle on matey!" But be sure to say how you are looking forward to joining his unit and becomming part of the team. You'll soon get into the flow of it.
