Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I've got to do a lesson in the field on OPs. I've not even been given a lesson on them so I'm really not sure what to teach. Can anyone give any pointers or advice.

  2. msr

    msr LE

Speak to your local Brigade Specialist Training Team. They should be able to help.

  3. I can give you a powerpoint lesson on infantry OPs. But that depends whether you are a member of CUOTC Gun Troop, in which case rivallry may dictate not...

PM me your email and I'll send it anyway!
  4. CUOTC Gun troop doing an OP?? That's a frightening thought!
  5. I know - I've seen you guys in action :D

How's the new BSM going? Has he learnt you need landrovers, prismatics and kit to do gunnery?
  6. SJ, No I'm not a CUOTC Gunner, I was Inf there many years ago!
  7. I'm CUOTC Inf, UEA lot. So shouldn't be too much rivalry. Their new BSM is a very nice bloke. Just done MTQ1 training as a section i/c and he was good to work with.

Thanks muchly for your offer SJ, PM sent

  8. Jim, don't suppose you might be willing to share that presentation at all?
Only, I could do with a bit of a brush up myself before doing a similar thing to Operator, albeit mine's not actually for another couple of weeks.
    Cheers all the same.
  9. No probs Macks, just PM your address
  10. Ive got a couple of powerpoint presentations on various ops, Apppedicectomy, TURP, TURT, left hemicolectomy etc..... and im very drunk, sorry
  11. how embarassing TURP, but not a bad wit for a drunkard.
  12. thank you my dear, although in fairness, i do have those lesson plans
  13. TURP - Have you got one for an anterior-perineal resection? Just I've got one in a half hour and was wondering whether the handshake in the middle was obligatory?
  14. you cant beat an A-P resection for srcub team bonding.
  15. Macks and Operator could you let me know if you got the emails I sent to you or whether they were lost into the ether.
