Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Its great, I just found the botlle I opened last night for cooking and forgot about and its not gone flat.
  2. why do that when I've got a bottle of beer to hand?
  3. Cracking beer. My mate's think I'm weird to drink this when I'm on the meff but I reckon it's the drink of a champ. It's pronounced Lef-fer according to their cracking website.
  4. You COOKED with a damn fine Belgian beer :x

What a waste, honestly, I don't know what this world is coming to....MB wonders of tutting.

Next you'll be feeding Hoegarden to your plants 8O

    Mmmmmmmm Hooooeeegaaaardeeen
  6. A fabulous Beer, must be sampled in Belgium, from a glass the shape and size of a goldfish bowl 8)

  7. Damn fine? its not as if it was a bottle of duvel, ename or westveterlen, it was only the normal blonde and I bought it in Asda FFS!

The Hoegarden is what the dog drinks :p
  8. A specialist beer shop has opened up here where you can get the glass taht goes with each beer.....has to be drunk out a glass the right shape dontchaknow.
  9. :puker: :puker: :puker: :puker: :puker: :dead:
  10. Exactly, and in a little watering hole I used to frequent in Belgium served Hoegarten Grand Cru in a massive Hoegarten glass that you could quite easily keep fish in!

  11. Have to agree Leffe is a top beer, though often served in half pints. The local CAMRA pub does many of the above mentioned as well as Chimay and lovely barmaids.
  12. Get over here then Gwar, the local talent shoppe has a load of Belgian Beers they've just put on. Excellent Beer and Eye candy galore to go with it as you know.
  13. Seconded!
  14. I allways use a lot of beer or wine when cooking. Sometimes I even put some in the food.
  15. Love Leffe and Hoegaarden (sp)

Got my ex into the fruit beers, Framboise and Kreik - really nice on a not day but can catch up with you
