Leader of UK's largest Muslim charity quits over racist posts and support for terrorist group.

I don't know where these Muslims get this antisemitism from I really don't.

Is it something they've read ?

Well the Nazis did a good job of stirring up their latent antisemitism

If Labour run councils fail to deliver it's only because of Tory (Boris...grrr) government austerity policies.

If Labour run councils under a Labour govt fail to deliver it's only HMG dealing with legacy Tory policies.

Labour are never responsible for any of their actions, policies or decision making.

It's always someone else's fault.

And people actually believe that shit.
Must be in the handbook, Khan is still blaming his feckups on from when Boris was Mayor.

The leader of Britain's largest Muslim charity has quit after putting anti-Semitic posts on social media and vocing support for an Islamic terrorist group.

Heshmat Khalifa , a former trustee and director of Islamic Relief Worldwide, said the Jews are 'grandchildren of monkeys and pigs.'

Khalifa also praised Hamas - a proscribed terrorist organisation saying they were 'the purest resistance movement in modern history'.

Islamic Relief, with an annual income of £570m is one of the largest Muslim charities in the world and on it's website says its mission is to 'enable people to respond rapidly to disasters and fight poverty through our Islamic values, expertise and global reach.'

The charity is currently running a number high-profile appeals currently for funds to help those impacted by the conflicts in Syria and Yemen, as well as the ongoing issues caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Imagine my surprise.

I drove Islamic Relief co-founder Hany El Banna to BHX last year. He was a lovely bloke, who told me he missed the 'old England' he'd experienced when he arrived as spotty student in the early 80's, where everything was closed on a Sunday, & families ate dinner together. He hated how the Americans had 'sold' us commercialisation. He also wished Muslim kids would integrate more & emerge themselves in British culture, 'whilst' respecting their religion, instead of creating a divide. He said he came here to study, & stayed with an English lady in Birmingham, & ate with their family every week. He said those were great days.

He may 'know' people, but he's committed no crimes that I know of here, & I got the impression he resented how his charity turned out. He has a big old house on the Bristol Rd in Brum, but his car is a 15yr old Merc. At face value, Hany El-Banna was humble, a nice guy.

Unless you can tell me otherwise?
Mugged you right off didn't he.

Overt antisemitism on the part of Muslims seems to me to be a relatively modern phenomenon. However their attitude to any non Muslim minority in their midst is inherently problematic and Jews have always constituted a non-Muslim minority.

Strangely enough I have never been tempted to donate

Looking at the Jihadi fund, it looks like plenty have though, I suspect that most Mosques across the UK are knowingly or unwittingly subscribing their attendees to this fund, hence why it stands at £570 million!

footnote: a little like the pubs in Kilburn in the 70’s & 80’s allowed PIRA to pass among their clientele with a box for the “cause”!

I always assumed that this was the case in these sorts of set ups.
Always.
A bit like all those churches in france spontaneously combusting. Our home grow and imported 5th column would see us in a gas chamber given the chance.
XLW terrorism is the threat. In a few years the uk will be a caliphate. Probably.

Having read of the way charities such as donkey sanctuaries operate and the waste from water charities I regret that I now tar all charities with the same brush and do not contribute to any bar the RBL.
The Sky channels are flooded with adverts asking for money. It used to be a regular donation of £3.00 a month but inflation has hit hard and they now want £10.00.
They have no chance of a contribution from me.

The difference is that a lot of UK charities will likely go to the wall this year, funding is, across the board, down 85% on the yearly average, events cancelled, lockdown etc. On the contrary, I don’t see Muslim charities suffering at all, most probably have their members subscribed by that wonderful Western invention called Direct Debit. All Mosque members will be expected to contribute to the “cause”, however large or small.

One of the five pillars of Islam is Zakat, giving 2.5% of the yearly income to a charity. often one nominated by one's Imam
